Thr Third Spy (A Lahaina Mystery, Book 2) ReviewI enjoyed "The Last Smythe", first in the Lahaina series, enough to pick up this book. I like the characters, and I like the story. The only things that jar me are the errors (whose instead of who's, it's for its and the like) and misspellings in the text (did anyone copyread these?), as well as the improbable way that people speak sometimes. Example: in a series of scenes where the main characters are reading a journal, the author feels compelled to write "the journal continues" when the characters have just said they are going to read on. It's more like script writing.
That said, I will probably buy the next book in the series as well, since I love the setting and as I mentioned, like the characters. Don't expect miracles, only an entertaining (with occasional editorial winces) read.Thr Third Spy (A Lahaina Mystery, Book 2) Overview
