Bayonet Battle: At the Sharp End ReviewI bought this book because as a soldier I've always been interested in the notion of bayonet combat, and this book didn't disappoint. It isn't even so much about the history of modern bayonet combat as it is about melee combat in general. This book features some incredible stories of incredible bravery and heroism at bayonet point. Stories of one man charges, modern norse berserkers, and LTs crazy enough to stop a Japanese attack armed only with an entrenching tool. My only complaint is that at some points in the book the theme seemed a little forced onto the stories, but overall it's a good read!Bayonet Battle: At the Sharp End Overview
