Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 in C# 2005: From Novice to Professional (Beginning: From Novice to Professional) ReviewThis book is a new edition of the excellent book "Beginning ASP.NET 1.1 in C#". I've read both, so I can freely say that this is an example of the good getting better. Quite simply, there is no other book I'd recommend for new ASP.NET developers. This one is more rigorous, organized, and thorough than any other beginner book I've found. It hits all the bases--covering the C# language, OOP, Visual Studio, web services, components, custom controls, you name it. It's also one of the few books that has real-world code in the database and security chapters. (Most other beginner books dumb it down with truly useless techniques.)
And in response to the review left by "developer" who claims the book is short on ASP.NET 2.0 content--I have to wonder whether you've read the book! Did you not see the complete chapters on master pages and themes, website navigation, the new data controls, membership, profiles, and web parts?? All of these are brand new features, with comprehensive coverage.

C#.net Web Developer's Guide (With CD-ROM) ReviewThis is a really good book for developing applications for the Web. There is a short primer on the C# Language at the beginning of the book but its primary focus is on .Net Technologies including: Web Forms, MSMQ, Remoting, ASP.NET and Web Services.
Although each of those topics could be entire book by itself this book explain the basic functionality and provides excellent tutorials(with source code examples)C#.net Web Developer's Guide (With CD-ROM) Overview

Professional Community Server ReviewThis book deals almost entirely with an older 2.x version of Community Server. The current version, CS 2007 is massively different.
Although the authors seem to have made a few last-minute additions to cover some of the many changes made to CS 2007, the book is a poor introduction to the current version.
Telligent offers poor documentation for Community Server, so a book is necessary for anyone who wants to do more than make UI-supported changes to the app. This one isn't it for CS 2007. I'm hoping that 'Professional CS Themes' (which I have on order) will better serve the purpose.Professional Community Server Overview
