Essentials of Econometrics ReviewGujarati's BASIC ECONOMETRICS uses divide and conquer method to help readers achieve a solid grasp of the basics of econometrics. Each chapter takes on a major concept and explains it thouroughly. As the name suggests, this is basic econometrics and hence does not make much use of matrix algebra and other mathematical tools often used in advanced econometrics. However, all the statistical and mathematical concepts used are included in the appendix. If one's aim is to prepare for graduate level econometrics, then a more advanced text would be recommended. Scenarios in American Government ReviewThis was a required book for my poli sci class and when the teacher said it would better to read the chapter in this book that corresponded to the chapter in the text, I didn't really believe her. Why would that make a difference? After reading the text first for awhile I tried it her way and it was a lot easier to understand the points the text was trying to make.
This book gives you the situations in politics that make the policies and rules easier to understand. There are stories that really make you look at both sides. The questions at the end of the chapter were great practice questions for essays, as well as discussion points for you to use with family and friends.Scenarios in American Government Overview
