The Process of Legal Research ReviewI teach a legal research and writing course with this textbook at UCLA and have found it very helpful. The book is well organized, has good homework problems, reasonably clear writing and fine illustrations. My students find it very helpful in their studies. Its only two flaws are that it does not use California law in its problems and has only one problem at its end to test all of the student's research skills. In a perfect world, two comprehensive research problems would be included to ensure that students have fully grasped the principles involved. While I have used the 4th edition over the last 3 years with great success, I am confident that this 5th edition (which I have read and am presently using in my class) will be equally effective. I only give it four stars because of the two flaws described above and the limited answers to homework problems given in the teacher's edition.The Process of Legal Research Overview

Pocket Companion for Physical Examination and Health Assessment ReviewI use this handheld book for quick references at clinicals and in class. It has great color illustrations and is very easy to read. The full sized text was assigned in my assessment class so I went ahead and bought the handheld. I would reccomend it to any nursing student. The author takes great care to define medical terms within the text so I'm not constantly reaching for my medical dictionary. There is no glossary, but the accompanying student lab manual has one for each chapter. Legal Writing and Analysis ReviewTHEY are forcing me to read this book for my first year lawyering process class in law school. It really is a good book. It's nuts and bolts of "doing" law, including reading, writing, analyzing. I read a lot of those "buy this book and you won't be scared of law school" books, and with few exceptions they were disappointing. I am so happy to finally be into the meat of law school. While I would not recommend buying this book to the casual reader, it would be worth a glance if you are starting, or considering starting law school. Support your local library!

I needed a narration, to be taught so to speak about a thesis. Steve Sharp has created an excellent book to guide any college student to master the thesis statement. He uses metaphors and explains why on earth this tricky concept is needed. I understand better now how to make a thesis than when I went googling for advice. This book will be great for any one taking on-line college classes and needs a teacher to teach them about thesis statements. I am very satisfied and feel the $1.99 was well worth it.Mastering the Thesis Statement OverviewAuthor Steve Sharp tells his students that the thesis statement is the sun around which EVERYTHING in their paper orbits. Every sentence must fall within its gravitational pull and obey rational orbital laws. Otherwise chaos ensues.
